Cons of Kids Nurseries

Nursery for kids is a good option only if you want your kid’s development and learning plus care to be constructive. The employees are trained to build a safe and happy environment where your kid can play and learn. Your kid will be able to do a variety of fun activities at the nursery. These will be learning activities that are designed to encourage your kid’s creative, social, listening skills and communication including his/her physical and mental development. Your kid will able to play and learn in a group. This will help him/her to gain and develop and confidence social skills. The nurseries can be more reliable rater than the other platforms of childcare. For example, if your kid’s favorite employee is sick or on a holiday then another employee will easily step in.
But there are disadvantages of nurseries as well; some nurseries do close for a week or two weeks in the winter or summer when different families go for their holiday. You will need to have a back-up plan or find another daycare center when the nursery is closed or take their own holiday at the same time. Almost all nurseries have set an opening and a closing time, so it is very less flexible option for parents who have long working hours or who have to work extra hours because it is expected that the parents will fit in with them. Some nurseries may also get extra charges if you are late picking up your kid.
You may also need to make sure that you have an emergency care center or place when your kid is sick. Because your kid is mixing with different and lots of other kids, he/she may be more likely to catch different sickness such as colds or conjunctivitis. Your kid is less likely to get less attention and care that he/she would receive because there are other kids as well. Keep in mind that every nursery employee may be caring for more than three children under the age of two. Which means that your kid may not be getting as much attention and care as he/she would from other childcare options. But you will meet other parents at the nursery who maybe able to give support or offer the exchange favours such as babysitting in different timings.
